For the holiday weekend we spent the morning with Nana and the afternoon with some out of town friends. Nana got the girls matching outfits, of course, and we went to the park. We then went out to Homewood and let Abbey play on all the inflatable rides/toys. It was so much fun watching her. She is getting so big and independent. She was able to do one of them all by herself! It was a proud moment but also a sad one as I realize how quickly she is growing up. We came back to Helena to watch the fireworks. I didn't know how the girls would take it since Abbey is terrified of the "very noisy vacuum cleaner" these days and Emma has never been around such a thing but they both enjoyed the colorful display.
Sunday we spent all afternoon swimming. Abbey is a little fish! She loves the water and is learning to swim. She can kick her "motor" and is sure to tell you all about it but does not understand the concept of holding her breathe yet. Emma only likes it if it is warm, truly my daughter! She is crawling, pulling up on everything, and attempting to stand alone so I'm sure it won't be long before she is toddling everywhere behind sister.
